I swear that every time I work from home for a day to get some quiet time to actually pay attention to things, the lawn people are outside with the loudest mowing/leaf-blowing/whatever equipment. Every time. Insane.

Sort of an interesting quote in an article describing a problem with the LHC.
Cern spokesman James Gillies said on Saturday that the sector that was damaged would have to be warmed up well above absolute zero so that repairs could be made.
One would imagine that having any space well above the point at which matter ceases to have any energy would be important for getting into the area to do repairs. Probably better at least get it to the point that the air is a gas again. Good plan.
